Whether you’re just getting started with UFLI Foundations, refining and strengthening your classroom practice, or supporting implementation as an administrator or coach, the UFLI Academy has something for you.
Our sessions focus on building a solid foundation, enhancing instructional routines, and providing strategies to ensure long-term success across schools and districts. You will also hear directly from educators in our Stories from the Classroom panel, where teachers share their real-world experiences and answer your questions in an open Q&A. From understanding the “why” behind the program to strengthening the “how” of daily instruction, the Academy offers meaningful learning for every role and stage of implementation.

Day 1: Background Knowledge Training
This session covers key components of the Science of Reading and focuses on building critical literacy knowledge for educators. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the research base and the rationale behind the design of the UFLI Foundations program.
Day 2: UFLI Foundations Implementation
This session provides an overview of the UFLI Foundations program and offers in-depth training on each of the lesson steps, including opportunities to practice and refine instructional strategies.

UFLI Virtual Academy

What is the UFLI Virtual Academy?
The UFLI Virtual Academy includes the same content as our Pop-Up Academy – a deep dive into essential background knowledge and UFLI Foundations implementation – but delivered online.
Participants will go through the training with small cohorts of fellow educators, facilitated in real time by a UFLI Implementation Specialist. Cohorts will be able to participate in activities and engage with one another throughout the experience.
