Day 1: Background Knowledge Training
This session covers key components of the Science of Reading and focuses on building critical literacy knowledge for educators. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the research base and the rationale behind the design of the UFLI Foundations program.
Day 2: UFLI Foundations Implementation
This session provides an overview of the UFLI Foundations program and offers in-depth training on each of the lesson steps, including opportunities to practice and refine instructional strategies.

UFLI Virtual Academy

What is the UFLI Virtual Academy?
The UFLI Virtual Academy includes the same content as our Pop-Up Academy – a deep dive into essential background knowledge and UFLI Foundations implementation – but delivered online.
Participants will go through the training with small cohorts of fellow educators, facilitated in real time by a UFLI Implementation Specialist. Cohorts will be able to participate in activities and engage with one another throughout the experience.

The sessions are designed as a connected series; therefore participants must attend all four dates. Please note the sessions will not be recorded.
